Around the world 10m people donate to World Vision's work that supports 100m people in over 100 countries!

Here in Ireland over 12,000 people sponsor children Africa and each sponsor makes a real impact on the 11 communities we support across Africa.

Many more donate to our emergency appeals that have supported the people of Haiti, Pakistan, Japan and many other places affected by disasters.

World Vision Ireland's office

The World Vision Ireland office team is made up of 15 staff members working across Supporter Care, Accounting, IT, Communications & Advocacy, Office Management, Marketing and Programmes.

Helen Keogh was appointed Chief Executive of World Vision Ireland in December 2003. She has been member and chairperson of a number of not-for-profit boards including Chair of the Board of Dochas - the umbrella group of Irish NGOs involved in development and relief overseas and/or in the provision of development education. As a National Politician, Helen served in both Seanad and Dáil Eireann respectively for more than 13 years.

World Vision staff around the world

Our staff in Africa and around the world is commited to delivering our aid promise where it is needed most. Staff like our ADP Managers and community volunteers are on the ground in Africa each day planning and overseeing projects in areas such as health and education. Our Global Rapid Response Team that can be on the ground anywhere in the world within 24 hours responding to major disasters.

Patrons of World Vision Ireland

Pauline McLynn is a well-known Irish actor best known for her television role as Mrs Doyle in Father Ted. A stage performer and writer Pauline has proudly supported World Vision Ireland’s work for many years and sponsors Matano, a young boy from Tanzania.

Victoria Smurfit is an Irish actor that helps promotes the work of World Vision Ireland. Her television roles in Ballykissangel and Trial & Retribution bring a familiar face to the front of development issues. Victoria sponsors Veronica from Tanzania.

Bishop Ken Clarke
grew up in Holywood, Co. Down, Northern Ireland. He has served in parishes in Northern Ireland, Chile, and Republic of Ireland. Before moving to his present Diocese of Kilmore Elphin & Ardagh in January 2001, he was Rector of Coleraine Parish for 15 years.

Dr Geraldine Smyth O.P. is a Senior Lecturer in Ecumenical studies at Trinity College Dublin. Dr Smyth’s areas of expertise include theology, civil society and reconciling memories. Dr Smyth has written extensively on these areas including published books, articles and has presented papers at many conferences being regarded as an authority figure on these areas.

World Vision Ireland is governed by an Irish Board of Directors:

William Prentice – Chairperson is a partner at Matheson Ormsby Prentice Solicitors where he is Head of the Banking and Financial Services Department.

Tara Doyle is a partner in the asset management and investment funds group at Matheson Ormsby Prentice Solicitors.

Cathy Honan is an accountant from Co, Laois. She is also a former Senator.

Stella Mew is CEO of the Yeats Society in Sligo and former headmistress of Rathdown Secondary School in Dublin.

Noel O'Regan is a company director from Cork.

Anne Williams is the former Chair of the Board of WVUK and former international representative.

Eunan O’Carroll the Sales and Marketing Director at Friend First Life Assurance Company Ltd and his areas of expertise include finance and marketing.

Kristin Quinn is a brand manager with ESB and an expert in energy and sustainability.
