On World Humanitarian Day (19 Aug) we pay tribute to the sacrifices and incredible work of those who risk their lives to give others help and hope.
Disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons and drought cause immense suffering for millions of people – usually the world’s poorest, most marginalised and vulnerable individuals.
Humanitarian aid workers strive to provide life saving assistance to people regardless of where they are in the world and without discrimination.

World Vision Ireland is a member of the Dóchas Humanitarian Aid Working Group, which brings together Irish organisations that are working in humanitarian crises across the world.
