World Vision Ireland seeks your support for the Dochas “Act Now on 2015” campaign to highlight the need for Ireland to deliver on its aid promises to the world’s poor.

Ireland has made a promise to spend 0.7% of our national income on overseas aid by 2015. We must keep this promise!

Keeping our aid promise is about willingness, not ability.

The aid target is set as a percentage of our national income, meaning the aid budget goes up and down in line with the economy.  

Ireland’s aid programme is recognised internationally as being among the best in the world, and it reflects what is best about Ireland. It is a key part of our foreign policy and a source of pride for Irish people.
