World Vision works in partnership with the communities we support in Africa and around the world and we extend this way of working to our corporate partners.
Whether your organisation is searching for corporate gifts, alternatives to sending Christmas cards or is searching for a longer-term project to support, simply get in touch with Evelyn Wolf on 01 – 4980800 or email evelyn_wolf@wvi.org to discuss your needs further.
Accountability and transparency - More than 50 years of development programme and international relief experience, and a presence in 100 countries worldwide ensure control and delivery of your donations to their intended recipients, as well as reporting on the impact that your donation has made. 80% of funds raised help people living in poverty in our long-term programmes and emergency relief efforts overseas. Only 20% is spent on administration costs including staff wages, office maintenance, programme monitoring and marketing.
Brand alignment – We work with your brand to select a project that really fits with your business and interests. A medical supply company may consider teaming up with a health centre or give drugs or a training and consulting firm could decide supporting youth in apprenticeships guiding them to a brighter future. Our projects around health, education, agriculture, water & sanitation and micro-enterprise development lend themselves to be tailored to your specific needs.
Communication – We will work in close partnership with you to develop a project and communicate it to your staff and stakeholders. Communication pieces can be developed for PR purposes and we’d be delighted to feature your organisation on our website and in appropriate marketing materials. We will also keep you updated regularly on the process of your project.
Fun(d)raising – Our experience in fundraising allows us to work with you on fun and engaging ways for your staff to fundraise. Events like Africa Days in a canteen, races or quizzes motivate staff and let them be part in making a real difference to the cause selected.
In Kleerex, we were reviewing our corporate and community responsibility over recent years; we had been sponsoring many local and overseas charitable causes, but in a somewhat disperse way. We decided to pick one main sponsorship role for 2010, as funding is tighter in the market and we decided to be more selective in terms of what we were sponsoring. World Vision offered a trustworthy and direct option for overseas development support work, with direct sponsorship of something tangible; a development that we could directly relate to and connect with. From our own business of Retails Services, Fit-out, Shopfitting and Displays, we immediately liked the opportunity to help in the development of Community Shops in West Africa. - Alan Victory, Group Financial Director
Kleerex is supporting the building four Community Shops and Vegetable Gardens in Mauritania, West Africa.
Pathfinder choose World Vision because you allow children to be children, go to school, learn, play games; to be normal kids. Through the training programme you show them the way forward, a little like we do with our clients. It doesn't take much to fund this, but it means the world to them I am sure. Keep up the brilliant work. - Gary O'Sullivan, Director
Pathfinder is supporting Vocational Training for Teenagers in Tanzania, East Africa.
