 Our response to date

The situation in the Horn of Africa is worsening. Famine has been declared in five regions of Somalia. This means that over 30% of children are acutely malnourished and two deaths, per day, per 10,000 people occur due to food shortages.

Our response to the worst drought in 60 years in the region includes:

• Supplying of 14.4 million litres of water to over 250,000 people in Kenya.
• Supporting to 250,000 people in Ethiopia to save farms and livestock.
• Reaching thousands of malnourished mothers and children in Somalia.
