If you are in a position to send a Christmas gift this year, children across the world would be so grateful! So many vulnerable lives are at risk right now and anything you could give, no matter how small, could make a massive difference to a child.
Like eight-year-old Doruku who was forced to flee her home in South Sudan with her sister, two brothers and grandmother when the fighting escalated. Her father was killed, and her mother is still missing. She walked for one month through treacherous terrains to reach the safety of the Ugandan border. She arrived with nothing but an empty belly and an exhausted body.
Because of the support of people like you, we were able to help her survive. We gave her water, high-energy biscuits and were able to allocate her a small plot with shelter. We continue to help her and her family with food rations and clean water each month. Your support today could help provide another child just like her with the essential food, water, shelter and care they need to survive.
What your gift could mean to children alone, hungry, tired or frightened this Christmas
For those weak with hunger, with no access to clean and safe drinking water, with your help, World Vision can give the gift of food and water.
For those who are exposed to the elements and disease, you can offer basic protection with shelter and hygiene kits.
For those who are critically ill and battling diseases, you can offer them medicine and healthcare – a chance of survival.
For the most vulnerable who are exposed to horrific violence, you can help protect them from further abuse and support.
Thank you for your incredible support and for helping to brighten the futures of vulnerable children. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of our wonderful donors!
