Tara Doyle

Tara is a partner in the Asset Management and Investment Funds Department at Matheson. She became head of Matheson’s Asset Management and Investment Funds Department in 2016. Tara was the first female head of an Irish asset management practice and in 2016 and 2017 was named Europe’s Best in Investment Funds at the Euromoney Women in Business Law Awards, the first Irish woman to receive that award. Tara was included in The Hedge Fund Journal’s 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds in 2017. Tara is a member of Matheson’s Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee.

Tara is also a member of the IFSC Funds Group established by the Department of An Taoiseach to consider and advise on legislative and other changes which are necessary or desirable to facilitate the continued growth of the Irish investment funds industry.

Tara has served as a director of World Vision Ireland since 2008 and in 2016 was appointed to the board of World Vision International. She has lectured at the law school of the Law Society of Ireland on financial services law and currently lectures on the only Investment Funds Law course taught at an Irish university, and which is one of only a few of its kind in Europe. Tara holds an LLB from Trinity College, Dublin and an LLM in International Business Law from the London School of Economics.
