Last year we raised €551,509 and we could raise even more this year if....
..every eligible donor completes a 5 year form (recommended) or the 1 year form(s), we sent in the post and returns them to us. Revenue allows us to send a five year form, but please don’t panic, this does not mean you must continue to support World Vision Ireland for five years. It only means that if you continue to support World Vision Ireland we will not have to send you another form for five years. This allows us to save money and you to save time.
- We try and complete as much as we can on the forms, so all you need to add is your PPS number, date and signature on each form.
- If you have misplaced your form or require any additional ones, you can simply download and print a form by clicking here for the 5 year form or here for the 1 year form.
- It’s that simple, we can do even better than last year and it won’t cost you a single cent. This extra funding is really important to the children and families we continue to help in the world’s poorest places.
Please don’t wait, do it today! It's easy and it doesn't cost you a cent.
Thank you so much for your support, we are extremely grateful to you for making our work possible.

FAQs – Tax back scheme
My tax rate is personal, will this information remain confidential?
Yes. Your details are confidential to World Vision Ireland and the Revenue Commissioners. The information will not be used for anything other than this tax claim.
How does the tax back scheme work?
Once a year, World Vision Ireland automatically posts a tax relief form to all individual World Vision Ireland donors whose donations qualify for a tax reclaim (over €250 in a tax year). If you are tax payer, PAYE or self assessed, simply complete the relevant form and return it to World Vision Ireland (Freepost). You only need to fill out one form, the 5 year form, and you don't have to worry about it for 5 years. This doesn't mean you are committing to support World Vision for 5 years. We can only claim back the tax as long as you are a supporter with World Vision. You can also fill out the 1 year form, but another form would need to be sent next year.
Why did I receive more than one form this year?
We can claim tax back for any year since 2013. If you have received an additional tax form, it means that for that particular year, we can also reclaim the tax. You simply need to complete your details, sign and return the form to us - it won't cost you a cent. After you've completed the 5 year form, you won't get any more requests for tax forms from us for 5 years.
What if I am self employed / self assessed?
All tax payers are eligible for the tax back appeal. Although this wasn't the case prior to 2013, it is now. Previously, only PAYE payers could avail of the scheme, but now everybody who pays tax can take part.
If you need World Vision Ireland to re-send a donation receipt, please call us on (01) 498 0800 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance. Also see www.revenue.ie for more information on the new charity tax back scheme.
Where do I find my PPS number?
You will find this number on your work payslip and quoted on all forms/correspondence sent to you by the Revenue Commissioners.
I do not pay tax, but my husband/wife does.
Only the person who makes the donation can sign the tax form and the associated tax refund will be based on this person's tax record.
I am a pensioner, am I eligible for charity tax relief?
Pensioners may pay some PAYE tax on their pension. We can claim on this amount.
What if I give to more than one charity?
It does not matter if you have given to other charities as well. World Vision Ireland only reclaims tax on the donations made to World Vision Ireland.
Has tax relief for charities and donors changed?
Yes. There have been significant changes made to the tax back scheme in recent years. Please visit www.revenue.ie for more details on this.
