Christmas at my Home, a Story by Little Erisjana

Erisjana, 9, is a sweet girl who loves Christmas very much. Every year, she waits impatiently for it to come so she can celebrate. She thinks Christmas is magic bring joy and presents to all children. Christmas makes even poor children happy, “because Christmas is magic,” she says, loudly.
“I celebrate Christmas with the greatest joy. I love it because it brings snow. The snow is white and I like white. I love it! Together with my little brother Lion, who is 7. He loves so much to sing and play football, like all boys his age, we sing round the Christmas tree and even in our room while we do our homework.”
“I enjoy helping my mom prepare the food for the Christmas. She makes baklla* and dishes, like salads with vegetables and dishes with meat,” she adds.
"But, most of all, I love Christmas because it brings my parents together. My father lives in Greece. He builds houses there. My mom stays [here] and looks after me and Lion. She works in a factory; taking care of the supplies. I enjoy so much when we get together on that day, to eat delicious food, laugh and wake up the coming morning together, as one family,” she says.
“I also love Christmas because I love presents. This Christmas, I want Santa can give me a doll and I want her to look like a ballerina. I love to dance and [dream of] becoming a ballerina myself,” she adds.
“If I were to draw my Christmas, I am there, dressed like a princess, in white. I have a magic rod and I am powerful. I make every wish come true,” she adds.“And, I [would] give presents, big ones, to all the children in the world. As they receive their gifts and smile, I would get whiter and whiter as they become happier and happier,” she adds.
“And, I am not done with the wishes,” she says.” I have another one. This year, I also wish to have a better school. I want it to have white tiles on the floor, as I like white, and a better front door. Thank you Santa!” she concludes.
***I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!!!!!***
With love,
Erisjana

*Bakllava is a Turkish dessert made of filo pastry dough, butter, nuts and sugar
She mentioned cake, but it is not traditional. Maybe she mentioned because she like itJ. But in Albania baklava is traditional and other dishes. But though many families are poor , here is traditional that during the New Year or Christmas, for those families how celebrate Christmas, they cook many meal, as much as they can because Albanians wants to honor those two big holidays and they spent all their savings just to dine a big table with lots of meal .
