Work for World Vision Ireland because….

We foster a positive work environment and culture

The four pillars of the WVIRE Behaviors & Mindsets are; We are Empowered, We are Determined, We are Accountable, We are Humbled. These pillars demonstrate our values, beliefs and attitudes. They influence how we behave towards our colleagues and approach the work we do. It was important that the team collaborated to develop WVIRE’s culture to truly foster a positive work environment that was informed by the people who are affected by it and living it.

We are looking for Volunteer Trustees

World Vision Ireland is seeking non-Executive Directors to join the Board of Trustees to provide governance oversight, strategic direction and ultimately act as legal authority for the organisation. We seek candidates who align with our mission to help the most vulnerable children overcome poverty and experience life in all its fullness, inspired by our Christian faith. There are Trustee vacancies available in the areas of Finance, Legal & Compliance and Ministry oversight.

World Vision Ireland is looking for enthusiastic, qualified individuals to join the organisation to provide oversight and guidance as it continues to grow and develop our ambitious FY24-FY27 Strategy – Our Promise. Trustees with World Vision Ireland get the opportunity to work within the largest child focused emergency relief and development agency in the world and engage with Trustees from around the Partnership, to help influence and shape the inspirational work that the organisation does.

Employer Excellency CII Award

Employer Excellency

We are delighted to have won the CII Employer Excellency Award in 2024. In a time where it’s important to see the whole person and not just an employee it is great that our efforts to foster a positive work environment are being recognised.

All things in life and work require cooperation, collaboration and compromise and are a “two-way street” and here in World Vision Ireland the team, at every level, practice these qualities. Fostering a positive workplace is everyone’s responsibility and the team works together to create this culture.

Staff engagement and wellbeing are vital

Staff engagement and well-being is an ongoing priority for WVIRE. To ensure employee engagement and well-being WVIRE has an EAP, Health care plan, generous pension contribution and 26 annual leave days. We foster work-life balance with flexible and remote working options. Our core hours from 10am – 4pm allow the team to be flexible with the start and finishing times. We also have an employee recognition initiative that recognises length of service, with our Finance Director receiving his 5-year service award in June 2024. Our Staff Days every quarter are an opportunity for each department to give an update, but more importantly we connect with one another. At the annual Staff BBQ where we go from colleagues to friends. For a time the team relax and see each other as the human beings we are.
