A Nation In Crisis: Protecting Myanmar's Children Through Education | World Vision Skip to main content

Myanmar is facing an unprecedented humanitarian emergency, with nearly 20 million people in need of assistance and millions of children at risk of losing their right to education. Conflict, displacement, and natural disasters have disrupted schooling for hundreds of thousands of children, leaving them vulnerable to poverty, exploitation, and violence.

This report highlights World Vision Myanmar’s Education in Emergencies (EiE) programme, supported by the global education fund and movement, Education Cannot Waitwhich, provides safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive learning opportunities for children in crisis. From creating child-friendly spaces and training local educators to supporting early childhood development and literacy, EiE is a lifeline for Myanmar’s most marginalized children.

Discover how education can transform lives and why urgent investment is critical to ensure no child is left behind.
