We believe a Hunger-Free world
is possible.
Despite the world now being able to produce more food than we actually need, the battle against
famine and hunger isn’t over yet. Millions of people are still deprived of food
and at risk of malnutrition.
1 of 6 children
One out of six children (roughly 100 million) in developing countries is underweight.
66 million
66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world.
500,000 children
250,000 to 500,000 children go blind every year from vitamin A deficiency.
Every child
Our vision is a world where every child has access to enough nutritious food every day, and where families are empowered to provide for their children and withstand life’s unexpected setbacks; but hunger is still a daily reality for more than 820 million people.
Over the last five years, 89% of the severely malnourished children we treated made a full recovery.
