We work with families to break the cycle of poverty so that the most vulnerable children can reach their full potential. Our work addresses the underlying causes of child poverty: food insecurity, vulnerability to climatic events, and lack of access to markets and financial services.

We help poor families build knowledge, skills and resources to support themselves.
We support communities to start savings groups - member-owned and community run groups that allow people to save together in a safe, convenient and flexible way, whereby savings can be lent to members as credit. Ayom's sons can thrive, thanks to income from goats she bought via her village saving group. This group and others like it in South Sudan have helped to revive many local women’s small businesses, bringing hope and support amid COVID-19.
We help families to help themselves - providing training and resources needed to support people to start their own businesses, as well as provide food for their families. Larisa’s grandchildren benefit from World Vision's agricultural training that has helped to create a successful raspberry producers’ group in Armenia.
We encourage farmers to diversify their crops to ensure that they aren't too relient on one source of income that could be affected by adverse weather or a disaster. Children in Eswatini (Swaziland) will benefit from their community's bee keeping and business skills training. These increase and diversify the products and resilience of small, vulnerable farming households.
Children like Soknet from Cambodia can pursue their education because they are supported, not only at home but through their schools. With World Vision, Soknet's school introduced a food scholarship for children whose families were struggling. For those who received the scholarship, their attendance improved from 60% to 95%.
